Alternator Repair / Rebuild Kit With Voltage Regulator, Bearings, Brushes.
This Alternator Uses "Regulated Voltage Control (RVC)" GM's patented RVC technology optimizes alternator load by reducing voltage depending on battery state-of-charge. RVC Regulators have a default voltage, but running Voltage Set Point is controlled by onboard computers taking sensory information from Body Control Module, Battery Sensor, ECM/PCM. The running voltage can read between 12-15 depending on the duty cycle of the vehicle. Faulty sensor readings and battery condition can mimic failing alternator symptoms and should be trouble shot to verify alternator issue.
